ABOUT US

Researching fraud.

Connecting defenders.

Disrupting scammers.

ScamSavant is a British-Dutch organisation taking the fight to the scammers — one robo-call, one dodgy email, and one fake investment opportunity at a time.

We research scams, investigate criminal proclivities, connect the dots across industries, and throw events that don’t put you to sleep. (No "blah blah innovation" panels here — just real solutions for a real problem.)

Our goal is simple: make the world a tougher place for scammers and an easier, safer place for everyone else.

At ScamSavant, we’re obsessed with how scams work — and how to stop them. Our research digs into fraud trends, victim stories, and scammer tactics, helping governments, businesses, and frontline defenders stay three steps ahead. We don’t just track the big flashy scams; we find the sneaky ones too — the ones you don't hear about until it’s too late.

But knowing is only half the battle. Fighting scams takes teamwork — so we connect banks, tech companies, regulators, cybersecurity whizzes, NGOs, and law enforcement to swap intelligence, strategies, and occasionally war stories.

Our research lifts the lid on scam networks: who they target, how they collect money, how they slip through legal cracks — and how we leverage all the smart brains in the anti-scam community to put a stop to them.

And yes, we plan content for anti-fraud events — the kind that actually spark change. We bring together people who don’t just talk about fighting fraud, but actually do it.

Most importantly, we’re all about education and awareness. Because when consumers know what to look for, scammers lose their edge — and their payday.

ScamSavant: exposing scams, connecting allies, and making scammers very, very nervous.

Sam Rogers – Founder and Research Lead

Sam Rogers, Founder and Chief Research Officer (CRO) at ScamSavant, is a seasoned marketing and research professional whose career spans finance, technical writing, strategic marketing, and dedicated advocacy against scams.

Beginning his career in the UK, Sam initially worked for Deloitte's Risk Advisory service, where he supported Equity Capital Markets clients through successful Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on the London Stock Exchange.

Relocating to the Netherlands in 2016, Sam transitioned into professional writing, quickly establishing himself as a sought-after copywriter specializing in technical and scientific subjects.

In June 2023, Sam brought his extensive marketing expertise to the fight against scams, becoming Marketing Manager at both the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) and ScamAdviser, the latter of which he remained involved with until November 2024. At GASA, he was quickly promoted to Director of Marketing, as his strategic vision significantly elevated global awareness through initiatives such as the influential annual "Global State of Scams" report, extensive international research across more than 45 countries, and successful Global Anti-Scam Summits (GASS) held in Lisbon, Brussels, Washington D.C., and London.

Key achievements at GASA include:

  • Spearheading comprehensive marketing campaigns and strategic communications to amplify scam awareness.

  • Growing GASA’s LinkedIn presence from 400 to nearly 8,000 followers in just 22 months through organic social media strategies.

  • Successfully expanding GASA into North America, highlighted by organizing the highly acclaimed Global Anti-Scam Summit Americas 2024 in Washington D.C.

  • Collaborating with prominent partners like Cifas and the UK Home Office to host the largest-ever anti-scam event in March 2025, with over 770 attendees.

In April 2025, Sam advanced to the role of Director of Research at GASA, where he now concentrates on deepening and refining the organization's research capabilities. His current focus includes developing a unified, global taxonomy of scams and collaborating with academic and industry leaders to enhance victim-sensitive language and effective scam prevention methodologies. Under his direction, GASA’s 2025 research initiative will encompass surveys of over 40,000 individuals across 42 global markets.

Sam continues to foster cross-sector collaboration with NGOs, financial institutions, cybersecurity experts, and consumer protection authorities. Through ScamSavant, he seeks to empower individuals and organizations globally with actionable insights and tools to effectively combat scams.
